Diabetes is a medical condition that affects the body’s ability to produce insulin correctly, and can greatly affect the patient’s lifestyle. This condition currently affects more than one million Australians. Being diagnosed with diabetes can be discouraging to say the least, but there are many actions that you can take to help your condition.

Body Dynamics Health is proud to offer the Beat It Program, aimed at helping those with diabetes to live a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Beat It: A Program Specifically Designed For Those Living With Diabetes

Beat It is a program specifically designed for those living with diabetes and is fully funded by the NDSS, making it free for all participants.

This eight-week program is delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and it focuses on physical activity and lifestyle choices. The physical exercise involved in this program includes moderate intensity aerobic exercises as well as exercises that focus on balance and strength. Teamed with the physical aspect of the course are education sessions which educate participants about healthier living.

These classes are aimed at individuals of all levels, with the goal of helping people living with diabetes to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle. By the end of the program, participants should see improvements in their balance, strength, fitness and confidence.

All of this takes place within a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
