Katelyn completed her training at James Cook University in Townsville and has since worked in both the private and hospital sector. Katelyn has an extensive knowledge in sports physiotherapy working with many sporting teams on a local and state level. This has built Katelyn’s knowledge surrounding ACL reconstruction surgery, hamstring injuries, knee ligament injuries, ankle ligament injuries and groin injuries. Katelyn understands training load management and assures athletes return to sport at the optimal level.
Working with women’s AFL teams has grown Katelyn’s interest in Women’s Health related issues. This includes incontinence, pelvic floor training and returning to exercise after having a baby. Katelyn is currently completing a Masters in Physiotherapy (Pelvic Health) at the University of Melbourne. She hopes to become specialised in this area following the completion of the degree. Katelyn is a qualified Pilates instructor and enjoys teaching classes at Simplee Yoga throughout the week. In her free time you will find Katelyn at the gym, swimming or going mountain bike riding with friends.
