Position: APA Physiotherapist
Tristan Wheeler grew up in Wagga and completed his physiotherapy studies at CSU in Albury. Tristan was drawn to physiotherapy through his own experiences with injury and rehabilitation, which shaped his empathetic and passionate patient-centred approach.
Alongside his physiotherapy training, Tristan worked for six years at Workout Gym in Wagga, designing and delivering individualised training programs and running group fitness classes. Tristan also worked for two years as an Allied Health Assistant in a hospital setting, gaining experience with orthopaedic patients in outpatient and ward environments.
Tristan has a broad interest in general musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, and return to work physiotherapy. Tristan enjoys helping patients return to sport, work, and daily activities safely and confidently through an active, evidence based approach that supports long-term health and wellbeing.
With a sporting background, Tristan has played first grade in both rugby league and Aussie rules and currently plays with the Mangoplah Goannas in the Riverina Football League. Tristan’s sporting involvement provides insight into the physical demands placed on athletes and has shaped his eagerness and passion for helping sporting individuals recover from injury and perform at their best across all ages.
